100 days later !!

... nothing happened except quite a few things actually. The most surprising thing are people are bitching about my absence from this...took some time to adjust. It actually took me 3 secs to realize that only 3 people read my blog and quickly came back down to earth. But then, lot of things did happen ! India trip went past so fast that I couldn't think about regretting all the things that I wouldn't be doing ! That's right, sadly I couldn't bitch about anything...while I was "in" hyd !. Roaming the streets of hyd, grub hunting in every damn shop that was open and getting pampered so much that it now hurts when I look back at the slideshows. Got myself a new thread (not langoti !), my dad retired with a bang (we call it shastipoorthi !), and on both occasions I met all my relatives who I wouldn't have met (not on account of time, mind you !).

But then, there were moments that I do want to talk about that did piss me off. I think Air India should be offered as a form of capitol punishment. I think they take the word "traveling" literally and keep you in that state even when you crib. I should call up the people at Ripley's (darn !! went there on new years !!)...and all my co-passengers who experienced 32 hr delays to just set foot in hyd and then about 18hrs to return to the states. Airport kiosks were filled with hidden sarcasm; AI officials wiped away their smirks when they thought: "what a fuckin idiot, even I wouldn't do this". While there was just 1 AI flight leaving from chicago (not anymore cuz of the star alliance !), I realized that there were just 2 connecting buses from the International terminal in Mumbai. You might try and risk a taxi (which run at 50 USD inside the airport !) to later find out that the flight you came in for is late and that the driver has vanished in the meantime. At-least you wouldn't be stuck with 40 others, with luggage, made to walk to the domestic terminal, climb an elevator that seats 1 ..by 1, and then put on a flight with 6 hrs waiting time.
Now the latter is not an exaggeration and none of the passengers were compensated for the misery and similar stuff haunted me when I returned back!

Anyways will be posting soon about the heroics in hyd. But for now, let me revel in joy for having cracked an x360 mystery that's been haunting some 20 forums. Finally my live is up and I can also now stream wmv, mpg videos from my lappy and also any USB drive. Laters !
